Terms of Service

These terms govern your entry to IMAGE OPEN STAGE, the online audition run by Image Channel. Please read them before you submit. Version 1.1, effective 30 September 2026.

1. Who we are

IMAGE OPEN STAGE is operated by Image Channel (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us at info@imagechannel.com.np.

Our company registration number and registered office address will be published here once confirmed.

2. What entering means

Submitting the entry form sends us a link to a recorded performance in one of four categories: rap, singing, comedy or slam poetry. Entry is free.

We review the entries we receive. Some entrants may be shortlisted, and performances we select may be broadcast by Image Channel.

Submitting an entry does not guarantee that it will be shortlisted, selected or broadcast, and we are not obliged to give reasons for any decision.

3. Who may enter

  • You must be 18 years of age or over.
  • Entry is open to anyone, in any country.
  • You may submit one entry per category. You may enter more than one category.
  • You must give accurate information. Entries with false details may be removed.

4. Your performance stays yours

You keep ownership of your performance. We do not take copyright in your work.

By entering, you grant Image Channel an exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your submitted performance for 2 years from the date you submit it. Exclusive means that during those 2 years, you agree not to license the same recorded performance to another broadcaster or competition. After that period the licence ends and the rights are yours alone again.

Within that licence we may:

  • review and assess your entry;
  • broadcast it on Image Channel and its associated channels;
  • edit, shorten, subtitle or reformat it for broadcast or online use;
  • use it, in whole or in part, to promote IMAGE OPEN STAGE;
  • use your name, likeness, voice and category in connection with the above.

You will not receive payment for this use. To the extent permitted by law, you waive moral rights in the performance so that the editing described above can be carried out.

This licence covers the recording you submit. It does not give us rights over your future work, your live performances, or any other recording.

5. What you promise us

By entering, you confirm that:

  • the performance is your own work, and you hold all rights needed to enter it;
  • you have cleared any third-party material you have used — including backing tracks, beats and samples. If your performance uses music you did not write, it is your responsibility to have permission to use it;
  • everyone appearing or performing in the recording has agreed to take part and to the uses described in these terms;
  • the entry does not infringe anyone's rights, and is not defamatory or unlawful.

If a claim is brought against us because these confirmations were not true, you agree to cover the reasonable losses we suffer as a result.

6. Content we will not accept

Entries must not contain:

  • hate speech, or content attacking any person or group;
  • sexually explicit material;
  • graphic violence;
  • depictions of, or encouragement towards, illegal activity;
  • material that infringes another person's rights.

We may remove or disqualify any entry at our sole discretion, at any time, without notice and without giving reasons. Our decision on this is final.

7. Selection

Entries are reviewed and selected internally by Image Channel. All decisions are final and we do not enter into correspondence about them.

There is no prize for this online audition. Shortlisted entrants may be contacted and invited to a further round or recording. You are free to decline that invitation, and declining carries no penalty beyond not proceeding further.

8. Changing or ending the audition

We may extend the closing date, close entries early, or suspend or cancel the audition entirely. If we cancel it, entries will be removed and the licence in clause 4 ends.

9. The platform itself

The site is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and we are not responsible for a failed submission caused by your connection, your device, or a service outside our control.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law of Nepal.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The current version is always published on this page with its version number and effective date. Changes are notified by notice on this page and apply to entries submitted after the new version takes effect.

The version you agreed to is recorded with your entry, so it remains clear which terms applied to you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. The courts of Kathmandu have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

12. Your personal information

How we handle the details you give us is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
